A puppy board and train can be good for people that want to make sure their dog has basic foundations to help them have a well-rounded life. Owners will be able to visit the puppy at a scheduled time once a week if they desire. Must have a completed evaluation before starting the program.
Age: 1 year and up
On-leash
Aggressive dogs are accepted upon approval from evaluation. Prices for this can be more depending on the case. Trainer will address that with client.
Training: Sit, down, recall, leash manners, and door manners. You have the option to choose one additional training but are not required: car unloading/loading, counter surfing, jumping, dog and or people reactivity. These are not at any extra cost to client.
A board & train program could help your dog learn the foundations to an overall standard trained dog with Stands Alone Canine. This program will help structure your dog to your expectations and you will learn how to use those commands for real life situations.
Age: 1 year and up
Off-leash
This program is for dogs that have sit, down, recall, leash, and door manners mastered. The dog will go through an evaluation to test those skills it is either pass or fail.
Training: Sit, down, recall, leash, and heel off-leash with distractions.
Dogs that go through this program will learn how to do the basic standard of a trained dog but while off leash. This allows the dog more freedom but paired with an e-collar for a reminder if they do something you do not like. This is why your dog must have those basic commands down before starting this program. If you wish to have this type of training for your dog but they do not pass the test we would recommend the 6 week program which is below.
Age: puppy age and up
Off-leash
Training: If the dog does not have sit, down, recall, heel, and leash work down the dog will work on mastering those first and then will spend the rest of the time learning those commands while off-leash and on e-collar. This program can give your dog more freedom and or keep them safe while outside. Of course, learning the commands on leash is important so your dog is able to do both.
