Dog Training for Puppies

As always, we start with a free evaluation for all potential clients. When the trainer comes out, they will see the dog in their natural environment to establish the best course of action. The owner and trainer will confirm a training plan and meet as often as needed. 

Dog training for puppies will focus on key elements that will help the puppy become confident and establish a deep bond between dog and owner. The trainer will help the owner with teaching them basic commands such as sit, down, stay, place, and leash work. Each area will look different depending on the dog and the owner. 

One key element for puppies is getting them neutralized to their environment. The trainer and the owner will go out to public places and help expose the puppy to different sight, sounds, textures, people, and movements to help them gain confidence. This is different than socialization. 

Puppy training will also include socialization to other people and dogs mostly. They will learn how to approach new people with confidence as well as learning how to properly greet a new dog. The owner will learn how to introduce the puppy to new people and dogs. Note: your dog does NOT have to be friends will all people and other dogs.

We do offer puppy board and trains ! The age group for this is at least the first round of shots up to one years. We would get your puppy on a feeding schedule to help with potty training and help with that. We will also do puppy exposure where we can go out to different places and help them build confidence with new places, people, sounds, and more. We will also work on basic obedience commands: sit, down, stay, come, place, and leash work. This is great for people that just got a puppy and are wanting to start them off strong.
